Today is one of the most exciting interviews I have ever had! I get to introduce to you, one of my coaches, biggest mentors and beautiful friend, Gabby Bernstein.
Gabrielle Bernstein has been named “a new thought leader” by Oprah Winfrey. She appears regularly as an expert on The Dr. Oz show, and was named “a new role model” by the New York Times. Gabrielle is the New York Times best-selling author of the books May Cause Miracles and Miracles Now. Her other titles include Add More ~ing to Your Life and Spirit Junkie. In the fall of 2016 she will release her fifth book, The Universe Has Your Back which you can pre-order below under "Resources". Gabrielle, a “spiritual activist” recently teamed up with Deepak Chopra to co-host the Guinness Book of World Records largest group meditation.
Youtube named Gabrielle one of 16 Youtube Next Video Bloggers, she was named one of Mashable’s 11 Must-Follow Twitter accounts for inspiration and she’s featured on the Forbes List of 20 Best Branded Women. She has been featured in media outlets such as ELLE, OWN, Kathy Lee & Hoda, The Today Show, Oprah’s Super Soul Sunday, The Queen Latifah Show, Anderson Live, Access Hollywood, Marie Claire, Health, SELF, Women’s Health, Glamour, Help Desk the cover of Experience Life Magazine and more! Starting out as an aspiring actress, Gabby knew something was off. The role of playing others and “faking” situations was just not in her DNA.
“At the time I was a really bad actress. I wish I knew then, what I know now. All people want, is for you to be real.”
Putting a quick halt to the idea of acting, Gabby brought her talents elsewhere. At the age of 21 she started her own business: Nightlife PR in New York City, representing high-end nightclubs and restaurants. On a fast-track to “no where” Gabby found it difficult to keep up with the insane hours and living up to the stereotypical NYC lifestyle. This too, was not for her.
Becoming a work addict, a drug addict, a love addict and a food addict, Gabby had finally hit rock bottom.
“I hit bottom which ultimately I believe is the best place to land because it is only up from there.”
Reconnecting to her spiritual roots, at the young age of 25, Gabby became completely sober. In the midst of her sobriety, she also began to find her true self, her inner Spirit Junkie.
From there, the rest is really history.
Fast forwarding to today, Gabby is one of the most influential females in the transformational and spiritual world. She lives each day as if it were her last and takes great pride in teaching others to do the same.
“I was meant to be a preacher. I identify as a preacher in stilettos. It is my art, it is my mission and the way I was meant to serve.”

I am so incredibly honored to share with you today's guest, one of my absolute biggest mentors, Lewis Howes. Lewis is a New York Times Bestselling author of the hit book, The School of Greatness. He is a lifestyle entrepreneur, high performance business coach and keynote speaker.
A former professional football player and two-sport All-American, he is a current USA Men's National Handball Team athlete. Lewis hosts a top Self Help podcast called The School of Greatness, which has received millions of downloads since it launched in 2013. He was recognized by The White House and President Obama as one of the top 100 entrepreneurs in the country under 30.
Lewis is a contributing writer for Entrepreneur and Yahoo Health and has been featured in The New York Times, Forbes, Men's Health, The Today Show and other major media outlets. Following his dreams, Lewis started out as a professional football player. It wasn't the fame or fortune he was pursuing, but was more to prove to himself that anything is possible.
“Like anything else, it took time and energy, mistakes and growth, to get there”
Due to a sports injury, Lewis was no longer able to play out his dream, but he knew he wasn't finished… there was something else he was called to do. Self teaching himself the world of online marketing, Lewis tapped into all sorts of online space looking to build an income, all from his sister's couch. Attending workshops and doing his own online research, he was determined to not only learn, but to be knowledgable enough to teach others about it as well.
“I didn't know I was a teacher, but it was nice to know I could help people get results.”
He shows us that taking action is key. You can listen to any podcast or pick up any book, but nothing will show its true face value until you are brave enough to take action!
“I looked at my life like a sport, I love coaching.”
If you want anything in life, you must put yourself out there. Listen in to understand the process and hear the tips on how to take action towards your dreams, straight from Lewis himself.
“Everything you're afraid of, that's what you need to lean into even more.”

“For everything there is a season and a time for every matter under heaven.” Ecclesiastes 3:1
Just popping in today to spread some love on my listeners and remind you that there is a reason for everything! We may not see the reason right away, but it is there… you just need to keep the faith.
“I have spent the majority of my life resisting this, not realizing that seasons bring rejuvenation, seasons bring new energy, new beauty and new lessons.”
Sometimes we get the luxury of planning or seasons and the outcomes of life, but most of the time, it is not up to us. This is when it is important to find the beauty in the madness.
There is no rainbow, without rain.

Jordan Younger is the blogger behind the #realness-based wellness and lifestyle blog The Balanced Blonde. She is also the creator of the health-inspired conscious clothing line TBV Apparel, and author of the memoir Breaking Vegan. When she isn't caught up in writer-blogger-land, you can find Jordan on the yoga mat, snuggling with her kitten, sipping on green smoothies in Venice, laughing way too hard at her own jokes, and training for marathons because she is crazy.
Jordan’s Instagram, the Blonde Vegan, was created with the hopes of spreading her healthy lifestyle to her followers. After watching the numbers grow on all accounts, she realized that sharing this bit of her life could be more than a hobby, an entrepreneurial opportunity. The Blonde Vegan Blog was then born, where full recipes and lifestyle stories were shared. Letting people glimpse into her life, is what made Jordan happy.
Eventually switching from Vegan for personal reasons, Jordan then rebranded herself from The Blonde Vegan, to The Balanced Blonde.
Not fitting into the stereotypical eating disorder Jordan still knew there was something “disorderly” to her eating and was on a mission to pin point it. Being diagnosed with Orthorexia, not as commonly known as the other types, she began to realize she was obsessed with eating clean foods from the earth and developed a fear/avoidance of foods that did not fall into this category.
Overcoming this realization and re-educating herself on adding other types of food back into her daily life are now the exact lessons that Jordan enjoys teaching on.
“All of our bodies have the knowledge and the keys to how we are feeling and what we need, but we need to tap into that.”
Learning to listen to our bodies is the most beneficial thing we can do for ourselves. The second most beneficial thing you can do for yourself, is to listen in for the tips and buzz of our very own Balanced Blonde, Jordan Younger, for an all around healthy being.
Her motivation and self-love inspiration is overwhelming and I am honored to share it with you all!
Did I forget to mention that Jordan is a SnapChat addict?! Follow @jojoyounger for pure entertainment or find her on Instagram @thebalancedblonde_.
