ABOUT LINDSEY
Lindsey Schwartz is a best-selling author and the founder of Powerhouse Women. Fiercely committed to supporting other women, Lindsey invests her time in mentoring women and girls of all ages—from high achieving entrepreneurs to high school students. She’s also an investor in female-founded companies including beverage brand Lite Pink.
After seeing numerous women in her life stop short of pursuing their own entrepreneurial dreams because of fear and self-doubt, she saw the need for more honest conversations about the ups & downs of entrepreneurship in order to show women that they don’t have to have it all together to get started. From there, the Powerhouse Women community, annual event, and podcast were born, with the motto that we're not meant to do business (or life) alone!
Because this is my first time launching something in the product-based space, managing my expectations hasn’t been the easiest. Between timelines getting thrown out the window, working with multiple teams, and creating all kinds of contracts, Lauren and I have learned how to get super clear about what we can offer and what we need. Through this whole process, we’ve lived by the mantra that everything happens to us for a reason, and it’s helped shine some light on really difficult times. Today, we’re talking all about setting boundaries, silver linings of obstacles and hard conversation, and why it’s so important to be a vulnerable leader.

ABOUT JACLYN
Jaclyn Johnson created her career. A powerhouse entrepreneur, by the time she was 28, Johnson had sold her first business, invested in multiple female-owned startups and launched her second multi-million dollar company, Create & Cultivate. Johnson recognized a gap in conversations, resources, events and community for female millennial entrepreneurs and responded with a solution, Create & Cultivate, the wildly popular media platform and nationwide conference. In the process, Jaclyn’s own work-life philosophy, built on the cornerstones of female empowerment, hustling-hard and innovation have propelled her voice to the forefront of the discussion on workplace equality, a new thought-leader for millennial women and Gen-Z-ers on the career come up. This passion for supporting female entrepreneurs has sparked her latest endeavor, New Money Ventures; a venture capital firm and brand studio on a mission to fund and build the next generation of game-changing, female-led companies.
Named a Forbes 30 Under 30, an Adweek Disruptor and profiled in Fast Company, the LA Times, Entrepreneur and more, Johnson has earned her way to the frontlines of a workplace revolution at a time when change-agents and disruptors are flexing real influence.
If you want to attract more, you have to become more attractive. I don’t mean you have to get glam, but rather do the things that make you like who you are and see your vision through. I’m realizing that there are challenges that I’m surrendering to that are stopping me from going after my dreams. It’s time for me to drop the excuses and dial in. I’m committing to showing up on social media and putting in the work to figure out how to succeed in that space. How might you be selling out and giving up on your dreams? Let’s talk about it.

Chris just hosted one of his weekend Elite Mastermind group sessions and we both feel so recharged from the amazing guest speakers and talented people who were in that room. I share something that executive life coach Adrian Koehler said, which is, “What do you know for sure that you spend way too much time trying to prove is false?” It made me think about where my decision making is coming from and how to lead from a place of trust.
Chris was really impacted by what Dan Fleischman, a genius marketer, had to say about people waiting for this ‘bubble’ to pop. With all of the resources and advances in technology that we’ve seen since 2010, there’s no way we’re going to have a repeat of the mid-2000s recession. Listen in to hear more about what was covered at the mastermind this weekend and why it’s so important to get yourself into these kinds of rooms.

Since leaving her teaching job in 2017 she has hired a team of incredible heart-centered leaders, served hundreds of clients, helped create over 10 million dollars in revenue for those clients and is committed to helping 100 entrepreneurs create 7-figure impact driven businesses (7 down, 93 to go!)
As a result of donation/awareness she and her husband built a school in Ghana, Africa with Pencils of Promise.
She’s been featured in The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Yahoo Finance, The Today Show, Good Day New York, The New York Post, Shape Magazine.
Her mission is to cause a ripple effect and inspire change for generations to come; making a massive impact and leaving a lasting legacy beyond her singular actions.
Chris and I believe that if we only did things that we wanted to do each day, we would eventually get bored because we would lack purpose and challenge. I’m working really hard on embracing the growth and learning experiences that are being presented to me through Lite Pink, and I wanted to share a little more of that journey with you all today. Chris and I discuss why your ideal days might not actually be what you’ve dreamed they’d be because so much of our happiness comes from getting over obstacles. We talk about how we’re learning to embrace the tough days right now instead of wishing them away and waiting for a life that doesn’t have them.

GUEST BIO
Kacia Fitzgerald is a multi-passionate entrepreneur, speaker and podcaster who is on a mission to help women unapologetically share their voice and message with the world.
She’s found that what’s often holding women back are the thoughts that they think about who they are and what they are capable of. She takes her knowledge from working with hundreds of entrepreneurs over the years, paired with her high energy bubbly personality and a "come with me, let's figure this out together" approach to light a fire under their booty to get out of their own way and just go!
If you’re anything like me, your to-do list can seem never ending. Today, I’m sharing a few things that I’ve been doing to help me to dial it in and know what really needs to get done during the week. I break my lists down into a ‘later list’ and a ‘now list,’ which has been such a game changer for staying focused and making sure that I’m prioritizing what actually needs to get done. I also want to give you the space to check in with yourself during this episode and find out what support looks like for your entrepreneur soul.
