Have you ever felt off? You know, just struggling with nothing in particular, but never knowing what’s wrong with you?

Can you see my hand raised high above my head?! We’ve all been there!

My conversation with Jessica Ortner totally made sense of this feeling by framing it in a different way. When we feel nervous or anxious, most times it’s not just in our heads – we experience it in our whole body. When you have a stressful thought, she emphasizes the importance of talking through these feelings (you don’t have to be Suzy Sunshine all the time) and acknowledging them through tapping. After all, when your body feels more relaxed, you’re able to take control again.

So what is this tapping thing anyway? Not to be confused with tap dancing, tapping is a technique that uses your fingertips to tap the body’s acupressure points and literally “tap into” your body’s own energy and healing power. Say what?

Jessica also questioned the effectiveness of this practice. Years ago, while suffering from what was a seemingly endless cold, her brother introduced her to tapping. Where did he learn about it? The Internet. Oh boy. How much truth could there be to this? But here’s the thing – it was no joke and it actually helped her. A bit further down the road, it also helped her realize that her issues with her body weight were more deeply rooted. It wasn’t just physical. It wasn’t about a number. It was emotional.

“We have to release that stress and create a better relationship with ourselves.”

So what better way to understand this process than by experiencing it firsthand. I was selfishly glad for the timing of this podcast so I could use it for my own personal benefit (in addition to yours). ;-) During this podcast, Jessica took me through a complete tapping sequence so we could work through my anxiety and fear around my upcoming public speaking engagement (TEDTalk). I would love for you to do the sequence and insert the issue that is currently challenging you. Jessica calls it “borrowing benefits,” because you can still make a connection just by the human experience. (Love that!) Here Are the Steps/Points:

  • Point 1: Start with your Set-Up Statement (Even though I… I accept myself and how I feel.) Now, start tapping on the side of your hand, underneath the pinkie (the karate chop point). It doesn’t matter which side you tap on.
  • Point 2: Move to the start of your eyebrow, right on the bone.
  • Point 3: Follow the brow bone to the outside and tap the side of your eye bone.
  • Point 4: Underneath the eye.
  • Point 5: Underneath the nose.
  • Point 6: Chin (right under your mouth)
  • Point 7: Collarbone (Jessica uses her whole hand here)
  • Point 8: Underneath arm (bra strap area on women)
  • Point 9: Top of the head.

During the tapping process, Jessica stresses that the words aren’t super important, it’s the act of speaking your feelings aloud. You’re not going to do anything “wrong.”

“It’s not about the perfect word, it’s about staying with the emotion.”

Let me tell you, the tapping sequence took my anxiety and fear level from an 8 to a 2 or 3! Amazing, right? If you’re going through something, I encourage you to try it and see if it helps. It’s definitely worth a try to change your energy from nervousness to excitement.

“When it comes to how our body reacts there’s not that much difference between anxiety and excitement.”

I am so grateful that she helped me shift my fear into that space of excitement. And I love that tapping can apply to ANY area of your life – not just public speaking. Having gone through the experience above, how could tapping benefit you?

JESSICA ORTNER is the NY Times bestselling author of “The Tapping Solution for Weight Loss and Body Confidence” and producer of The Tapping Solution, the breakthrough documentary film on EFT tapping.. She has led more than 5,000 women through her revolutionary Weight Loss and Body Confidence online program, and she is also the host of The Tapping World Summit, an annual online event that has attracted more than 1,000,000 attendees from around the world.

Confession time. Not that long ago, there was a lot of negativity in my life. For some of you this may be hard to believe, but it’s true. I had a ton of toxic friends/relationships in my life and looking back now, I can’t believe I put up with that negativity as long as I did. Some of it was because I failed to set boundaries. Another part was that I tended to take on other people’s “stuff” and carry it as my own. I soon learned, however, that

“You can only control what you can control – and that is YOU.”

I knew that for the sake of my own happiness, I needed to grab the reins and take charge. Here are the five things that help set me on the path to positivity:

1. Know what you can control.

2. Ask yourself, “What is the most beneficial reaction I can have for myself (while still being compassionate).

3. Be compassionate.

4. {Not for the weak.} Call the negative person out.

5. Understand that the person (or your situation) may not change.

Does practicing all five of these things guarantee zero negativity in your life? Not by a long shot – there’s always going to be some amount of negativity in your life. It’s on the street, it’s on the Internet and sometimes, there are people in our lives that we can’t completely cut ties with. If it’s important to you and your happiness, you must start to focus your free time in a more positive place.

If you want to change, you will. If you don’t, you won’t.”

Go to the places that will bring you joy. Spend time with the people who “get” you. And DO the things that help lift you up. Some days will be more difficult than others, but it’s up to you to keep your head and heart in a positive place.

In This Episode You Will Learn About:

  • Negativity
  • Positivity
  • Boundaries
  • Control
  • Change
  • Community
  • Tribe

Sarah Pendrick is the Founder and Creator of the non-profit movement GirlTalk, and her mission is to empower women of all ages while serving as a resource for young women. Sarah is a self-love advocate, life coach, writer, empowerment speaker and philanthropist. With a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master's in family therapy, developed, GirlTalk, an empowerment program for young women. She travels all over the United States to speak to the women of our next generation and provide them with support, education and empowerment.

Through GirlTalk, Sarah not only features and connects powerful women with a purpose, she also celebrates them through her events and programs by giving them a platform and a space to thrive and use their voice. Growing up, viewing herself solely based on what others thought of her, Sarah always knew she had the ability to be extraordinary, but the opinions of others quickly shot her down.

“I lived this constricted life between doing what I knew I wanted to do inside, and also going to my parents and friends for their opinions.”

Having experienced bullying throughout her middle school years, she felt things that she never wanted other young women to feel, which led her toward getting her master’s degree in psychology, putting in positive work as a volunteer and helping at non-profit organizations and events.

“I always felt fulfilled when serving others and at the same time it also helped me with what I was going through. But the attachment I grew for my clients and their issues, would come home with me at the end of the day, which led me to believe I wasn't meant to be a psychologist.”

Fast forwarding and continuing on to find her true authentic-self, Sarah ended up putting in the personal work to learn about her own self love and to then be proud enough to preach it to others as well. And this eventually became GirlTalk.

Being fearless in the pursuit of asking, Sarah’s confidence skyrocketed allowing her to reach tons of amazing women to help and speak at her incredible events. It’s amazing what the universe will do for you – you just have to ASK. Do you have plans and dreams of your own to serve those around you? Jump right in! #womenempoweringwomen

As an entrepreneur, best-selling author, mother, and activist, Kate Northrup supports ambitious, motivated and successful women to light up the world without burning themselves out in the process. Committed to empowering women entrepreneurs to create their most successful businesses while navigating motherhood, Kate is the founder and CEO of Origin Collective, a monthly membership site where women all over the world gather to achieve more while doing less. Her first book, Money: A Love Story, has been published in 5 languages. Kate’s work has been featured by The Today Show, Yahoo! Finance, Women’s Health, Glamour, and The Huffington Post and she’s spoken to audiences of thousands with Hay House, Wanderlust, USANA Health Sciences, and more. Kate lives with her husband and business partner, Mike, and their daughter Penelope in Maine. Find out more and receive your free copy of Have More By Doing Less: 3 Simple Steps To Create Space For What Matters Most at katenorthrup.com Growing up on the coast of Maine, Kate always possessed the ways of a natural entrepreneur.

“My very first business was at the age of 7 with my sister. We would sell jewelry and bouquets of fresh wildflowers.”

Fast forward some years and at the age of 18, Kate was making more income than the average teenager. After graduating from Brown University in 2001, her income for such a young age was enough to prevent her from going into the “after-college-crisis” of looking for a full-time job. But that quickly changed after she moved to NYC and rapidly got herself into more than $20K worth of debt.

“I had this idea that if I acted as if I already had the income that I wanted, that somehow I magically just would. I guess I missed the part that I actually had to do something about it.”

After indulging in some self-help/self-love books (listed below), Kate came to the realization that changing her mindset around her financial situation could potentially and positively get her out of this pickle.

Perhaps if I approached my financial life with the perspective of taking care of myself in a loving way instead of a place of hard-core discipline, guilt and shame that maybe I could make some lasting changes.”

From that moment forward, she added “taking care of finances” to the list of other things that equal “taking care of thyself.”

“Keeping up with my bookkeeping was just as important as keeping up with my pedicures.”

It’s hard to pinpoint the one thing that hit home the most when talking to someone as creative and incredible as Kate, but her advice about growing no matter what stage of life or business you’re in now is something we can all learn from.

“Look at your life and your business as more of a cycle than a line. It’s like the moon that’s forever rotating or the seasons…There will always be spring after the winter.”

Finding work that you are passionate about and love is huge! It’s important to continually and consciously surround yourself with the people who see the most and the best in you. Where you spend your time the most will eventually become part of your outcome. Kate’s life and business wisdom is like the perfect package that I get to gift you all today!

“You become a clearer channel of what needs to come through you when you take care of your vessel.”

“We don’t develop courage by being happy every day. We develop it by surviving difficult times and challenging diversity.” – Barbara De’Angelis

I feel that the tribe I have created and continue to grow is truly my life’s mission and work. Just know that without the rain, there would never be a rainbow. You are never alone, and although there are numerous differences between each of us, there is an equal amount of similarities.

“Beautiful opportunities can also bring serious amounts of fear.” But, just remember that everything you want is on the other side of fear.

At the end of the day, all that really matters is that you are running toward your bliss.

This is from an episode of the For The Love Of Money podcast that I was on and I really wanted to share it with you guys! For those of you who may not my past or how it all began for her, I have the honor of sharing it with you today. Having a “money mindset” may not come naturally to everyone, but that doesn’t mean you can’t ever create it.

“My success hasn't always been like this and I know it’s something I will continue to work on for the rest of my life because I know that once you hit one level, there is a whole other level out there that you need to strive for.” -Lori Harder

Growing up, Lori was raised in a very conservative household. At a young age she was told, “Money is the root of all evil and you only need to make enough to survive. Anything more than that is evil and greedy.” With the constant battle in her head between money isn't good vs. how does the world go ‘round without it, can you see how that would create a whirlwind for a young child just trying to “make it?” Having two very different views on the subject when we first met, Lori’s money mindset began to shift after we started to spend more time with each other.

“It was refreshing to see that you and your family thought of money as just a thing that created awesome experiences. It was something you looked forward to and were proud of yourself for earning.”

Even though Lori still had the belief that money equaled greed, she still wanted to create a better life for herself – so she made it her mission to incorporate both beliefs. Why not make money, sufficient enough to live well and financially stress free, while still giving back and be of great service to others? DING DING (light bulb goes off)!

“Money doesn’t make you greedy, I believe that it just highlights more of who you already are. It will just amplify how you were already showing up in the world.”

Moving out to the West Coast, for us, put success and wealth in a whole other category. The entrepreneur mindset and the “shameless” money personalities out here, makes the opportunities endless. There is no cap or ceiling. If you have the passion and the heart to create something and make money off it then the world is your stage! (WELCOME TO HOLLYWOOD!)

I know from experience that Lori is NOT the only person to come from a family who has fearful thoughts around money. Whether you think you don’t deserve to have a lot of it, or that it’s evil, or you end up spending it faster than you truly earn it, whatever it may be, my wife and I are here today to break through some of those tough beliefs and to “give you permission” if you will, to take control of your own life and finances. Hard work should always be recognized and rewarded. You will forever be blessed if you think big and share your gifts.

“Life doesn’t get less busy.”

If I’ve learned anything lately, it’s that if I don’t start doing the things that I enjoy, right here and right now, then I’m never going to do them. Quit using the “whens” as excuses. You know, the “Oh, I’ll do that WHEN this is finished, or WHEN the kids are away” etc. Life doesn’t slow down and it most definitely doesn’t stop. You – and only you – are the one who can fit in the fun things for yourself. Because even after your “whens” are accomplished, there will be another task waiting just around the corner. So let’s start fitting them in NOW!

“Stop postponing your joy.”

Life happens and there are definitely things that take priority over others, but keeping your soul happy must be at the top of your list if you’re looking for that everlasting gratification. I’m challenging you to start this week – a minimum of 45 minutes a week to do something that makes your soul smile. Follow that one thing that has been pulling at your heart strings. (For me, it’s my guitar…no pun intended.)

“The ones that say there’s no time to play are the ones who need to play the most.”

  • Personal challenges
  • Gratification
  • Time Management
  • Affirmations
  • Gratitude
  • Being Present
  • Boundaries

“I was searching for my romantic relationships and career advancements and everything else through validations. It just didn't feel good.”

Spiraling from surface level happiness to depression, Suzanne knew that she was on this Earth to do much bigger things than this, but where would she begin and how would she get there? It was in this time that she began her shift.

I am honored to have my husband, Chris Harder, with me on today’s episode! For those of you who don’t know, or may not have tuned in yet, Chris’s very own podcast “For the Love of Money” is totally killing it on iTunes! He’s here today to share some juicy info about it.

“I started my podcast after my journey of reading 30 books in 30 days because I realized that the key and common thread to happiness, success, business, wealth etc. is giving!"

There has been a lot of stereotypical views and opinions about people with wealth, but the saying “money is greed,” couldn’t be farther from the truth. As Chris says, “There will be a bad egg here and there,” but from our very own experience, some of the wealthiest people are also the most giving!

“The more you give, the more you get back.”

Whatever your thing may be, your passion, you are very much capable of reaching it and then some! Don’t just stop at the dream or the thought, make plans and take action! Chris and I love sharing our relationship insights and what works for us when it comes to growing together – instead of apart. With more than 10 years of marriage, through all the ups and downs, it’s a beautiful thing to see BOTH of our lives and businesses growing in the same direction as each other’s. Make sure that when you step into your happiness that your person steps in, too.

“Don’t be afraid of your rock bottoms, they force you to take action!”

Bonus: Find out how and why Chris read 30 books in 30 days, the impact it had on his career and the start of his amazing podcast!

Maria Marlowe helps busy women improve their health, lose weight, and/or clear up and age-proof their skin by guiding them to develop healthy eating and living habits that actually stick.

Her approach uses humor to break down the latest nutritional science, her tone is always non-judgmental, and her philosophy for health centers on real, whole foods and reducing stress. She is the author of The Real Food Grocery Guide (May 2017), and the Creator of EatBEAUTY, a 90-day plan for reversing acne naturally, and EatHEALTHY, a 4-week meal plan to simplify your time in the kitchen without compromising nutrition. Maria has been featured or appeared on various media outlets including Vogue, The New York Times, CBS, NBC, and more.

Growing up in the typical American family, health and wellness were not the main focus. By the time Maria was 18, she found herself unwell with ailments that she couldn't quite figure out.

“I visited the gynecologist and dermatologist, but didn't get any answers I was looking for. Long story short, I decided to change my diet, and my health drastically changed too.”

Finally feeling better – better than ever – Maria took herself down a “nutrition rabbit hole” as she called it, to become knowledgeable enough to help and serve others in the same boat.

“After I got better, I thought to myself, ‘How come nobody teaches us this stuff?’”

Shortly into her schooling, realizing just how much food affects one’s mood, athletic performance, skin, brain power, personality etc., the topic quickly became her passion.

“As a young adult, I had acne so bad that there were some days I wouldn’t leave the house. It was amazing to see how my skin changed too, once I began eating clean.”

Now, as an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, Maria’s main focus is to help people clean up their eating habits to create long-term achievable health goals. The power of clean eating and how it greatly and directly affects our body and life is really quite incredible! I’m sure we’re all a little guilty when it comes to the reasoning behind “why we eat healthy.” For a better looking body…duh. But to be honest, what it does for the INSIDE, for your mood and brain etc. is the driving factor for me. The outer effect of eating well is just the bonus. On today’s episode, Maria shares awesome and healthy eating tips and habits (including drinks/foods that will lower stress levels.) Her way of coaching is simplistic and obtainable, making just about anyone want to dive in and start working on a better you – right away!

“The actual journey is a lot different than what people think.”

Let’s be honest here. We all want something better, or something we don’t have and that’s fine because contrary to what anyone says, it’s all eventually achievable!

“It comes down to consistency, faith and the willingness to show up!”

From time to time, especially depending on the severity of the situation, we tend to think we were dealt an “unlucky hand.” But what we are failing to realize is that every mess has a message! Every one of these life tests is FOR YOU!

“It’s not happening to you, it’s happening for you.”

The person or situation that is testing you most is the one that’s going to help strengthen you – and your muscles. Instead of negative outlooks, view each situation as a gift to become stronger (mentally or physically, whatever your biggest struggle may be in this moment). Like the old saying says, “Nothing in life worth having is going to be easy to obtain.”

Andrea Owen is an author, mentor, and certified life coach who helps women get what they want by letting go of perfectionism, control, and isolation and choosing to practice courage instead. She has helped thousands of women manage their inner-critic to create loving connections and live their most kick-ass life. When she’s not juggling her full coaching practice and writing her second book, Andrea is busy competing in triathlons, chasing her 7-year-old son and 5-year-old daughter or making out with her husband, Jason.

She’s also a retired roller derby player having skated under the name “Veronica Vain.” Around 2003, when Andrea was first exposed and becoming aware of life-coaches/coaching, she knew she’d found her path.

Having lived a pretty “charmed” life as she called it, she wasn't sure how she could be a life coach without any extraordinary life circumstances or tragedies to be able to share and relate to. Having said that, a few short years later as Andrea and her then-husband were trying to have their first baby, she found out about his affair with the neighbor and a resulting pregnancy from that (talk about her first traumatic event! GEEZ!).

Just when you think “what could be worse?” Andrea picked herself up and launched herself back into the dating world. Moving onto the next man who she thought was Mr. Right, she later found out about his addictive drug habits and how she had been conned out of more than $8,000 during their 9-month relationship. Oh, and she was pregnant. Looking back and telling her story with us, Andrea now shares how she believed this all may have come to be.

“The common denominator of my circumstances was me. What was I attracting in my life? What had I tolerated? What had I ignored my intuition about?”

Digging herself out of the rut like a strong, powerhouse woman would, Andrea skipped the “victim” role and instead went to taking radical responsibility for her life! (YOU GO GIRL!) Expressing her feelings about her rock-bottom years wasn’t easy, but Andrea found the message in all of her mess and shares with us some of the very first steps on how she started over.

“I wrote down 10 things I was grateful for, and it was actually pretty easy. Despite a few things, let’s be honest…I still had a very privileged life.”

Fun fact: You cannot be angry and grateful at the same time. No matter what has happened previously, you can’t let your past define you. A great way to get present is through breathing. (In through your nose, out through your mouth.) Pay attention to what you hear in these moments… What are you feeling? What are you grateful for today?

I am so excited to announce the launch of my 12-Week Bliss Habit eCourse! Thousands of women have completed this course and have incorporated the lessons learned into their ongoing life journey of creating their own bliss. The first step to being the CEO of your life is to take action, and the Bliss Habit is an amazing way to start with an even more amazing tribe of thousands of women who have your back!

“Even coaches need coaches.”

I am such an advocate of continuous learning, and I truly believe that the bits and pieces we gather from all types of coaches is knowledge that we wouldn’t be able to learn on our own.

“I want someone to measure my goals and hold me accountable. I forgot how good it feels to set a goal and then make yourself AND them proud.”

Today’s quickie is a just glimpse into a few of the many reasons I am a firm believer in coaches. Whether it’s a smaller goal like weight loss/learning to play guitar or a major goal, such as opening a business and making a million dollars per year, each of these things requires a coach, am I right?!

"Coaches use your time effectively and efficiently, which allows you to get laser focused on exactly what you want to do.”

In this Episode You Will Learn About:

  • Being Present
  • Gratitude Practice
  • Breath
  • The Bliss Habit
  • Taking Action
  • Coaching
  • Goals
  • Accountability
  • Commitment
  • Mastermind

Jean Chatzky is an award-winning financial journalist, author, and motivational speaker. She is the TODAY Show’s financial expert, and has appeared on The View, Live!, Morning Joe, The Talk and Oprah among others. Her most recent book, AgeProof: Living Longer Without Running Out of Money or Breaking a Hip was written with the Cleveland Clinic’s chief wellness officer Dr. Michael Roizen to explain the vital connection between health and wealth — giving readers all the tactics, strategies, and know-how to live longer, healthier, more lucrative lives.

Graduating college and all “gung-ho” as she calls it, to become a journalist, Jean got her first job at a magazine called Working Woman. Recognizing that business journalism was more her speed, Jean took some time away from Working Woman and designed her own path/detour. She went on to cooking school (interesting, right?) and did some freelance work, landing her on Wall Street (the business capital of the world!).

Finally dipping her toes into the business world water, Jean had found her niche. Her experience and stock research duties on Wall Street led her to many more business/financial opportunities, which include work with personal finance magazines, becoming the Financial Editor on The Today Show, and also writing books along the way.

“I am honored and love working in so many different jobs. It’s like I’m able to put all the information into different formats. I absolutely love reporting!”

Jean is a total financial powerhouse! Her tips and advice that she shares on today’s podcast may be just the thing some of you need to hear. Over the years, I’ve learned that feeling financially secure and stable is a huge part of one’s happiness, so any time I can share tips or have a guest on with expert advice, that’s what I do!

“Financially limiting beliefs come in all shapes and sizes. Some of us don’t believe we deserve it while others are too fearful to dive into it, believing that money is too confusing, even though once you dive in and just start, you’re 99% there.”

“It’s actually very motivating once you visit your savings account after a while, and see what you have accumulated. It’s almost like, ‘I can do this! I’m a saver!’” I

f you eventually want the stability, it’s not rocket science. Just do ONE thing and save a little bit more. And it won’t hurt to start incorporating one of Jean’s powerful but simple mantras:

“Control what you can control.” Jean coaches us that we all have the ultimate say in what we choose – with both money and health. If you don’t like something, you can choose something better. You can choose to save a little bit more in your savings account. You can choose to eat a little bit healthier. You can also choose to let go of the things you can’t control and know that in the end it will be OK.

Finally, remember that focusing and fine-tuning our finances is a constant thing. Big changes don’t necessarily happen overnight. Start small, put habits in place, and you may find that both your wealth (and health) will benefit.

An East Los Angeles Native, troubled teen who suffered from depression, anxiety, and overeating who turned into a Yoga + Meditation teacher and is now changing lives…

Rosie is an expert at helping her students cultivate a life of mindfulness, presence, and intention. She is known as a teacher who is skilled in her ability to guide students into experiencing a deeper connection with themselves and exploring the consistent changes of life while creatively weaving in spiritual elements from her own practice and experience.

Rosie Acosta is a Yoga & Meditation Teacher and a Teacher Trainer. Certified Nutritionist + Life Coach and Founder of Radically Loved Yoga Health and Wellness.

In all her work, Rosie teaches and practices RADICAL LOVE and uses this as a guiding force to overcome adversity. Through yoga, healthy lifestyle choices, mantra, and self-inquiry she aspires to help others find their unique gifts and fire within, she creates practices for her students and connects with people in a way that helps her students live radically loved lives.

Her articles can be found in Mantra magazine, MindBodyGreen, FOX News Latino, Pop Sugar Fitness, Well+Good, and Evolve Fit Wear. She can be found teaching yoga and coaching workshops around the country as well as leading international teacher trainings. Rosie is also a proud ambassador for Yoga Journal, City Silence, Manduka, and Living Yoga.

She has used her experience teaching her day to day students working in her community and has worked with elite Olympic athletes, NFL Champions, NBA All-Stars, At Risk Youth and Afghanistan Veterans. Most recently, she is working on a book about Yoga and Meditation. As Rosie mentions in her bio, she was raised in East LA in the 90’s. As you may not know, that was a high-time for gang violence in Los Angeles.

“Reading and researching back to that time, there were about 450-500 different gangs around my area. I was raised in an environment of fear. Hearing gun shots daily, was a very normal thing.”

Not only growing up in the pure neighborhood chaos, but Rosie was also personally raised in an alcoholic household. Not knowing at the time of course, but all of which has turned her into an insanely independent, radical human being! She takes us back to her days of stressful events, anxiety-ridden habits and her depressed surroundings. Like most of the kids/teens her age in the area, Rosie got caught up in drugs and alcohol, skipping class and unethical behavior.

“I was quickly becoming a product of my environment.”

At the young age of 6, Rosie witnessed her first drive by shooting. Having to self-regulate to calm her nerves, she reminisces on how she remembered her breathing technique in that moment and how it soon became a part of her daily habits. Having developed anxiety and panic attacks, this breathing-form became a norm…rapidly. Fast forwarding into her late-teens/early 20’s, Rosie took it upon herself to get healthy. No extra “push” no pressure, just the shear desire to be better.

“A friend of mine suggested I run a marathon, but I hated running. I thought to myself 'The only time I remember running, was away from something…most likely the authority.'

Going to school full-time, working full-time and indulging herself, headfirst into yoga teacher training, Rosie was a busy young girl to say the least. Rosie’s whirl-wind background is extremely inspiring and powerful. She has made something out of nothing, and continues to go above and beyond in her life and work.

“We are all born with limitless potential, we all have a place in this world, it is part of our journey to be radically curious, radically inspired and be radically loved.”

  • Overcoming fear
  • Curiosity
  • Perseverance
  • Trauma

Naturally, especially as woman (although this most definitely can go both ways,) we tend to deflect compliments, which I translate into “blocking your blessings.”

Today’s quickie is all about receiving. Accepting and fully embodying what it feels like to be love and be loved.

“If someone goes out of their way to compliment you and you deflect it, you may actually be hurting them.”

As you know, giving compliments is a brave task. It can be used to break the ice on a first date, or a way to get attention from someone you admire etc…So just as much as it is brave to GIVE the compliment, it is equally as brave if not more, to fully RECEIVE the compliment.

“By not accepting a compliment, you are blocking the fact that someone observes something amazing in you and they are wanting to celebrate with you.”

As humans, who want to remain “humble,” we try to either turn the compliment completely around and end up complimenting them OR we tend to neutralize the compliment but putting negative talk around it.

“Accepting a compliment is a self-love practice!”

Stop having to have a reason for why you do something good for yourself. Knowing you are worth it, is reason enough!

In This Episode You Will Learn About:

  • Self love
  • Practices
  • Blessing
  • Blocks
  • Complimenting
  • Accepting
  • Receiving
  • Deflecting
  • Knowing your worth

Coming back from last weekends 3-days of bliss, I wanted to share one of the most important topics I touched on at the event… "Getting rid of the negative story about yourself.” If you truly observe and listen to those around you, especially your tribe, you’ll come to know that SO many of us share that same struggle or “story.”

“When you become vulnerable enough to tell this story to others and let your walls down, something beautiful is going to happen!”

Releasing these stories will take a weight off your shoulders like you’ll never believe. You’ll begin to grow and elevate in ways you didn't even know were possible and who knows who you may influence around you while you do it…it’s a win/win situation. I

t is time to recognize the difference between stories you may have adopted from the people around you and the stories that you, yourself truly believe in.

You can ALWAYS choose again.

Like the old saying, “You are what you eat,” the same applies to “You are what you think.”

One of my favorite quotes that I have read lately is by the genius himself, Albert Einstein. “Imagination is more important than knowledge.” Why you ask? Because knowledge is “what is.” It’s the study of factual things and events, but imagination…it’s a world of endless possibilities, it’s the ability to make your dreams a reality.

As I prepare for the Bliss Project (which is in less than 24 hours!!) that quote holds a special place in my heart as I create the content to change and ROCK over 350 women’s worlds this weekend!

Anyone can teach knowledge and facts but the Bliss event came out of something I personally desired and imagined. It came from a place I wish existed, so I made it exist! It is a safe place to meet and connect with a tribe, unapologetically as yourself! So…as living proof that you can make anything a reality, I am here to shout it from the rooftop, that everything you want in life is on the other side of fear! No one said it would be easy, but let me tell you…once you get to the other side, the feeling is beyond anything that you could possible imagine.

Rachel DeAlto is a relationship expert, coach, hypnotherapist, motivational speaker, author, and spokesperson. She believes that relationships are the foundation of everything, and it is essential to learn to navigate those relationships with great communication, a sense of perspective, and self-awareness.

Rachel believes in the art of communication, and its inherent value in all aspects of your life. She developed her communications expertise through an undergraduate degree from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University and later as a practicing trial attorney after receiving her Juris Doctorate at Seton Hall University School of Law.

She has also received professional training as a certified coach through the Institute of Professional Excellence in Coaching (IPEC) and is a certified hypnotherapist via the International Association Of Counselors & Therapists (IACT).

Rachel is a featured relationship expert on FYI’s Married at First Sight and Second Chances. Rachel has also appeared on a multitude of media outlets and is also a frequent TEDx speaker.

Coming from a law background, coaching one’s love life was kind of something that Rachel sort of “feel into.” Continuing her education to become a coach, Rachel once again went back to school, but this time for the polar-opposite subject…love.

“Relationship coaching came from my natural desire to help people, as did being a lawyer”

As one of my favorite topics to talk about (love and relationships) I got some juicy details out of Rachel! She opens up to us about frequently asked questions in her field along with helpful tips and advice to not only FIND love, but to KEEP love. As powerful women AND men, it’s important to know that “the more you are, the more you expect,” when it comes to finding the one. Understand that the “intimidation factor” is also real, it is very real ladies and gentlemen! Having it all and looking the part to match, isn’t always the easiest to approach. Finding love takes just as much effort on your end, as it does theirs.

“I feel like expectations can kind-of be a killer. You can have desires, but don’t expect every man you meet to live up to them.”

Rachel also shares with us one of the first steps she goes through with her clients. “I ask them what are the four things they look for in someone that they couldn't live without? I only give them four!”

“No one is perfect, but it's more about finding someone who fits with you perfectly.”

Looking to find love? Or maybe enhance your current relationship with some extra fire?! Tune in for some of the greatest love advice I’ve ever heard!

Rachel is the real deal y’all…you can thank me later ;)
