In This Episode You Will Learn About:

  • Why it’s so important to validate ourselves first
  • How I searched for outside validation
  • Powerful quotes on validation
  • Where to go when the answer is NO
  • Keeping your energy clean + checking in with yourself
  • Mantras to say that will help

Resources:

Show Notes

In today’s quickie, I really wanted to talk about validation. I have been thinking SO much about validation and what it means lately, so I knew I had to share. The word validation tends to get a bad reputation because it drives us to gain approval from others– we still have to remember that we need to validate ourselves. Seeking the validation from others and then getting it doesn’t actually make us happy if we don’t love and approve ourselves.

  • A quote I’ve been loving right now
  • How to view the season you may be in
  • The season I’ve been in

Resources:

Show Notes

I have this theory that whenever I’m not in the place or headspace I want to be in, I try and find someone else that is in that place. It’s super important to me to find someone to speak that life back into me, and honestly, sometimes it isn’t even about the words– it’s about the vibration. Nothing is out there actually making us feel a certain way, it’s actually us taking it in and applying our own meaning to it. If we could all really look at ourselves and the season that we’re in, it’s important to remember that space is truly just a visitor– some stay longer than others, but they will leave.

Jessib1981

I have followed Lori’s podcast for over 2 years and a few months ago moved across the country and lost my self-development groove. In turn, I recently found myself in a rut, feeling alone & unworthy. While I knew deep down I would find a way back, I had to think of what I needed. On my drive back to VA from WI, I listened to over 20 podcasts back-to-back and felt revived & resuscitated!! I hate to say how long it’s been since I’ve tuned in, but my new favorite episodes are Q&A with her assistant/friend Evans!!! They are awesome and hilarious. Just the vibes I need to surround myself with until I find more of my own tribe. Love you juggernauts!

  1. “What helped you/what shift did you have to make to tell your story/feel your story from less of a victim mentality to more of a journey/lesson mentality? (Your past as a child/assault)

I feel when I share what happened in my past, I’m still very bitter about it but I know sharing my story helps others.”

  1.  “What advice do you have for someone who is putting themselves out there to the public more.... what should we expect? What should we avoid? What should we practice? I work for a corporate company and I’m concern about employees coming across my IG account. It’s nothing bad just ughhhh I’m more personal on my IG than I am at work because I’m a manager.”

Question 2: @taylorqwillmot: “If you could be doing anything else in life, what would it be and why?”

Question 3: @_caroline_fenge_: “What do you do when you are faced with un-kindess and fear?”

Show Notes

Today I wanted to talk to you about paradoxes. I found a quote that I’m loving, and I wanted to use that as a base to spark this conversation. “In contradiction and paradox, you can find truth.” I’d like for you to take a moment and think about what this means to you. A paradox is holding two opposing views as your truth, and I believe that understanding that paradoxes exist is only going to get you closer to finding your own truth, freeing yourself.

I’m so excited to share this episode with you all today because my husband, Chris Harder, is joining me. This episode may just be my favorite episode of the year– I know it’s only January! In today’s conversation, Chris and I share our top 6 hacks to succeed this year. From business, to life, and relationships, this episode covers it all. Be sure to listen all the way through because we share the biggest thing that we will do this year– hint: it involves YOU.

After an 11-year career as an executive and partner in the banking industry, Chris experienced plenty of success, however he severely lacked fulfillment – and was completely burned out. Recognizing that a change needed to be made, he retired from banking in 2011 and partnered with his wife, Lori, and her brand, LoriHarder.com along with their Isagenix network marketing business. Chris now handles most of the business affairs and business coaching for their two multimillion dollar brands, and has found exactly the fulfillment and happiness he was seeking in a career.

Chris is the host of the new hit podcast, “For the Love of Money,” aimed at helping people bust through their money mindset blocks to become unapologetic about their pursuit of wealth. It is through interviewing business moguls and celebrities and exposing their exciting stories of contribution and philanthropy that he helps prove that money is a tool for good in a world with many needs.

Show Notes

I’m in a place right now where I’m observing my patterns and how those patterns tend to judge the emotions I feel. I’m in this place of duality, where two main ideas are existing in my mind at the same time, and they are fighting a little. I’m putting in the work to allow both ideas to have their own voice so that they can coexist within me. Today I’ll share an exercise that I’m going to do in order to help me (and you!) even further understand the patterns and emotions in my mind.

  • Helping your family understand your journey
  • How you become a good audience member
  • Ways to speak more comfortably in front of others

Review of the Week:

Judy0414: “Lori’s podcast has been a life change for me. I started listening to her at least a year ago and it is what got me started on the personal development path. Her voice has gotten me thru so many struggles and has encouraged me to grow so much. Thank you, Lori, I am so grateful for you!”

Question Highlights:

  1. Destinee: “What is the best way to help family members, especially young family, explain the journey you are going through? I have a 10 year old brother and I find it difficult to explain to him that I am creating the best version of myself and chasing my dreams because of kids having such a hard time understanding such abstract ideas.”
  2. Veronica: "I'm listening to #249 with Mastin Kipp right now and you mention being trained to be a good audience member - do you think you could do an episode on that (or even just train Evans right now so we can listen in)? This idea of actively giving a speaker your energy is so wonderful I can't even handle it :)"
  3. Shari: "As for my question, I work in an office with about 20 people in a small confined sales office… I have such a hard time being myself on the phones with my clients when everybody is listening and it hinders me for some reason! Possibly could because I work with a lot of type a personalities, and I do you freeze up when it comes time to speaking up! Help!”
