As we’ve been traveling, we’ve been listening to a ton of podcasts that are reeducating and inspiring us to do our best work. Again and again, we are having these reminders of lessons that are imperative to our success.
One of the first reminders we had was from a podcast with Lewis Howes and Rob Dyrdek. Rob does a great job of living his life to the fullest while also achieving incredible things and reaching massive success. He talked about living a life without compromise and following where your energy leads you.
Another lesson is the power of manifestation – but not in the way you might expect. Truly taking the time to embody and visualize the feeling of what you want. Whether you’re inclined to more logical or mystical thinking, this still works. Logically, picturing and feeling what you want is going to wire your brain to take conscious and subconscious actions that bring you the results. Or you may believe that the power of asking the universe is actually bringing you closer to your goals. Either way, this is a powerful tool.
And lastly, we were reminded of the power of rituals and boundaries. Setting clear boundaries and expectations of how long you are going to work, how long you’re going to spend with your family, who you’re going to spend time with, what you’re going to track, and more. You need to exercise your boundaries in order to live a life within the container you want.
There are so many things you can learn from plugging in and listening to things that inspire and motivate you. You are more powerful than you realize, it just takes finding something to spark that memory and then taking the action to prove it.

Your life is meant to be enjoyed. That may seem controversial
isn’t life all about the hustle and the grind? You know I’m no stranger to hard work, but it has to be hard work for something. That means if you’re not happy with your life, you have to take an active part in changing it. That also means getting real clear on what you want and going for it.

2022 seems like it’s just around the corner. You’ve still got some time to prepare, but if you’re not thinking about it, it’ll be here before you know it. This is the sweet spot where you can make sure that you have everything lined up to make 2022 the best year of your life. We always take the time to plot out where we want to go next year so that we can hit the ground running instead of playing catch up, and we’re sharing the strategies we’re using for ourselves and our businesses so you can set your 2022 up for success.
One thing we always focus on is our physical and mental health. Not only is this important personally, but the better you feel in these areas, the better your business will perform. Identify what practices you need to prioritize, what you need to add, and what you need to remove, and be relentless about sticking to them. The little things add up, so instead of focusing on massive shifts, look at the little pivots you can make that are going to add up to huge results.
The next thing we focus on is what’s most important to us in the next 18 months to make it feel like we are winning. When you identify your core values, you’re able to build your business, personal, and financial goals around those. Find out how much money you need to live your “dream life,” and don’t add anything to your plate that is going to make you money beyond that while also impacting your quality of life negatively.
And last, audience acquisition. There’s nothing that a large, engaged audience can’t solve in your business – and therefore in your life. Focusing on the ways you can get eyes on your product and your business is going to be essential for setting you up for success in 2022.
It’s not too early – or too late – to start planning out your business and personal moves for next year. In fact, this is the perfect time to make the plan for next year that will help you achieve everything you want and more.

Flexibility creates opportunity. When good things pop up in life, you will only be able to say “yes” if you’ve been intentional about building flexibility into your life. And a lack of flexibility is only going to cost you opportunities. We’re going to show some examples of both in our life – as well as how you can build more flexibility into your own.
A few months ago, someone made an offer on our Scottsdale, Arizona home that was way higher than we thought it was worth – much more than we paid for it. And even though we had only been there a few months, we saw that it was a major opportunity to make a lot of money fast. That offer ultimately fell through, but it led to us putting our home on the market to see what happened. The flexibility to be OK with either outcome gave us an incredible opportunity.
On the other hand, an example of when a lack of flexibility robbed us of opportunity is when our friend Jim Kwik wanted to use my recording studio to record an interview with Tom, the founder of MySpace. But the studio was completely booked for the day and Jim said he was hoping to get Tom to do an interview on our show after his interview. He told us to “Start making room for the miracles.”
It’s important that you leave space in your calendar for things to show up, but this doesn’t mean to do nothing. You have to go out into the world to allow miracles to show up. Just don’t be so rigid that you aren’t willing to see those miracles for the opportunities that they are.

Sometimes you have days that – from the outside in – seem terrible, but internally, we have the power to turn those days around. Our brains are wired to focus on the negative, but we can put our lives into perspective with one simple trick: acknowledge that this is life, and this may be as good as it gets. So buckle up and enjoy the moment.
Even on days that suck, you’d be surprised by the joy that can come from just being present in the moment. You don’t have to override sad or painful feelings, but if you acknowledge and accept them, and recognize what each moment has to offer, you can find the good in any situation.
Tell yourself that today may be as good as it gets. Stop comparing where you are against a future where things might get better or a past that you can’t reclaim. Today is all you have, and it may never get better, so focus on the silver lining because, as long as you’re alive, there’ll be one to be found.
If you try that phrase on for size, it will reframe everything for you, and you will find more joy every day.

Why is it so hard to ask for help? This is a weakness for many people – and there’s so many reasons why that may be. A major part is the fear of bugging people. There’s a difference between knowing how to ask for help and making it feel burdensome. It requires approaching that ask with a certain energy. We’re going to look at how you can go in for that ask without putting the pressure on.
There are two main factors that contribute to getting better at asking:
When you’re going in for an ask, you have to make sure you know what you’re asking. Ask it in a way that doesn’t require follow-up questions. Be clear and concise and don’t waste the person’s time. You only get one shot at this so take your time making sure the question is just right.
Whatever you do, don’t be an “askhole.” That’s someone who asks for advice but doesn’t take any action. If you’re going to ask for help, make sure you are actioning it immediately. It doesn’t have to be perfect, but when people see that you’re the kind of person who puts advice into practice, they’ll be happy to give you more of it.
The second part of this is who you ask. A lot of people are shooting for the stars and asking the biggest names they can think of without having the ability to offer them anything in return. Instead, start with the people within your own network. If you don’t have a network, it’s your job to seek out people online and find them. People with similar goals, interests, or wants as you.
Knowing how to ask and how to build a circle of influence to ask within is going to make your journey as an entrepreneur go so much smoother. Collaboration is the shortcut to success. It is a skill, but it is one worth building.
